- In Texas, where AAMFT has partnered with the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (TAMFT), SB 51 has been filed by Senator Judith Zaffirini.
- HB 49 was filed in Kentucky by Representatives Kimberly Banta and Ken Fleming.
- In Arkansas, the legislation has been introduced as HB 1187 by Representative DeAnn Vaught.
- And, in Nebraska, through the work of the Nebraska Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, LB257 was introduced, sponsored by Senator Dan Quick.
