Official Rules – #WhyMFT Wireless Speaker Giveaway

Sponsor

The #WhyMFT Wireless Speaker Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (“AAMFT” or “Sponsor”).

Eligibility

The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees of AAMFT and their immediate family members or members of the same household are not eligible to participate.

Void where prohibited by law.

Giveaway Period

The Giveaway begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on August 3, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on August 31, 2026 (“Entry Period”).

Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

How to Enter

During the Entry Period, participants may enter by:

• Posting on a public social media account using the hashtag #whyMFT; and
• Complying with any additional instructions provided in AAMFT’s Giveaway announcement.

Participants may submit multiple qualifying posts; however, each individual may receive only one prize.

Accounts must be public at the time of the drawing so entries can be verified.

Prize

One (1) winner will receive one (1) wireless speaker.

The prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash or substituted, except that AAMFT reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

The winner is responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes associated with acceptance of the prize.

Winner Selection and Notification

One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted on September 2, 2026, from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period.

The selected winner will be contacted via the social media platform through which the winning entry was submitted or by another reasonable method determined by AAMFT.

If the potential winner does not respond within seven (7) calendar days of notification, cannot be contacted, is determined to be ineligible, or declines the prize, AAMFT reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

Publicity

By accepting the prize, the winner grants AAMFT permission to use the winner’s name, social media handle, likeness, and submitted content for promotional purposes related to the Giveaway without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

General Conditions

AAMFT reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway.

AAMFT reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, or engages in conduct that is disruptive, fraudulent, or inconsistent with the spirit of the Giveaway.

Release and Limitation of Liability

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless AAMFT, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any liability, claims, losses, or damages arising from participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize.

Social Media Disclaimer

This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), or any other social media platform. By participating, entrants understand that they are providing information to AAMFT and not to any social media platform.

Privacy

Any personal information collected in connection with the Giveaway will be used solely for the administration of the Giveaway and in accordance with AAMFT’s applicable privacy practices.

Winner List

The winner’s first name, last initial, and state may be made available upon request for thirty (30) days following the drawing by contacting AAMFT.
